Traveling trough the mitten depends on what your favorite season is. Northern Michigan is an amazing quaint vacation spot with unlimited outdoor activities. I have lived in Northern Michigan for 20 years in the same house and small town. Anywhere you live may get boring but if you don’t like being outside than there is not much for you in Michigan. The best way to travel through the Mitten is by car because there are not many transportation methods. There is the option of renting a car but you have to be 25 years or older. Visiting towns along Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan Shorelines is a must! There are so many outdoor activities for adventurous people. Including: zip-lining, parasailing, all boating, hiking, biking, swimming, or kayaking one of the many rivers. The picture above is taken in Petoskey looking out at Lake Michigan. I drive up to Petoskey just to jump off the break wall dock pictured above.
